Here's the Art 21 video on Mark Bradford we watched in class last Thursday. An interesting artist with an interesting website. How does his website compliment or contradict his art work? When is an online portfolio an art piece in itself?

Rhythm, Balance and Play! Project 1: Photoshop Kaleidoscope

Rhythym and balance for an all-over composition.

We'll take some cues from the Graphic Design Basics book about rhythym and balance when contemplating our first graded project. Be sure to read this section. Also pertaining to our Photoshop Kaleidoscopes, the Art 21 episode featuring Arturo Herrera highlights playfulness while composing collaged elements often on an exaggerated scale.

Your project will use no less than three photographed images that will be repeated, rotated and scaled to create a dynamic pattern that maintains balabce whether viewed horizontally or vertically. The final printed piece will be 11x17 inches.
